Week 3

Areas between curves

Suppose we want to find the area between two curves, from x=a to x=b. This area is represented by the definite integral
ba(f(x)g(x))dx
where f(x)g(x) x[a,b]. f(x) would be the "upper" curve, and g(x) would be the "lower" curve.
