Areas between curves
Suppose we want to find the area between two curves, from x=a to x=b. This area is represented by the definite integral∫ba(f(x)−g(x))dx
where f(x)≥g(x) ∀x∈[a,b]. f(x) would be the "upper" curve, and g(x) would be the "lower" curve.
Coming up next: volumes.
